At American Express, I was part of a staff engineering team that worked across the finance organisation to build critical systems. I drove critical work on our tier 2 bank initiative, enabling American Express to accept customer deposits.

I ran bootcamps for developers on Docker, GitHub Actions, and custom IntelliJ plugins.

Independently created a custom IntelliJ plugin, taught others about it, presented to leadership, and it saved the company around $500k per year.

Custom Code Coverage Tool

Built a code coverage tool integrated with the IDE and SonarQube.

Set up CI/CD pipelines and experimented with different testing frameworks.

Mentoring

Mentored new graduates and a senior engineer joining the team. Teaching is something I find genuinely rewarding and want to do more of.
